If you have never made a guitar before, or are new to guitars altogether ... or even if you know what you are doing but want to build a guitar, this kit is right for you. Any which way ... you will learn a lot in a fun easy way.
The kit makes a cool SCHOOL PROJECT or even a great FATHER/SON (or FATHER/DAUGHTER) ACTIVITY. Going solo is no problem either, however building your guitar alongside your best mate while building his (or hers) is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED way to enjoy and learn about guitar building !
Only simple tools and some readily available painting materials are required. You will also need a guitar tuner ... so we give you one for FREE !
To complete this kit you'll need to shape the head stock to your choice of shape either by hand with a coping saw or by jigsaw (if you can safely use a jigsaw). You may also use the styled templates we supply with the kit to ensure a great looking result.
You can paint and/or lacquer the body and neck to your choice of finish. There are gazillions of options to how you paint (finish) your guitar, however, we advise putting some thought (and effort) into the guitar's finish.
It's final appearance does not affect how the guitar plays, though the cooler you can make it look, the prouder you will be playing it and when others admire and compliment it.
All the serious drilling has been done. So, if you can use a screwdriver and perform 3 simple solders, your kit will become a guitar in no time flat.
One solder is to earth the electrics to the spring claw, thus eliminating buzz and hiss from un-grounded circuits. The illustrated instructions will guide you through this relatively easy step.
The other two solders are the hot wire and earth that connect the output jack. The illustrated instructions will guide you again, though we also include a HANDY TIP that will make this step even easier for this and every other guitar you ever build.
And we can't make it simpler than that.
